All waste that cannot be recycled and is therefore incinerated belongs in the residual waste garbage can. This primarily includes soiled materials, such as
- soiled food packaging (pizza boxes, sausage or cheese papers, etc.)
- Light bulbs (no energy-saving bulbs!)
- Cigarette butts and garbage
- cooled ash
- Cleaning cloths, vacuum cleaner bags
- Toiletries and diapers
- Candle remnants
- Thickened or dried emulsion paints
- Laminate and carpet flooring
- Small quantities of roofing felt or glass
- old wallpapers
- Small animal litter
- et al.
As all household waste in the district of Emsland is thermally recycled (incinerated), old medicines can also be disposed of in the residual waste garbage can. Please make sure that unauthorized persons do not have access to it.
